- Ghee or clarified butter - 3-4 tbsp
- Cashews - 6nos
- Raisins- 6 nos
- Cardamoms- 3 nos
- Edible food colour (kesar/yellow)- a pinch
METHOD:
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee (clarified butter) in a pan
- Add the rava and roast it
- Keep aside
- Boil water in a pan
- Add the roasted rava to the boiling water gradually
- Stir continuously to avoid any lumps
- Allow it to cook
- Add cardamoms and edible food colour
- Add sugar
- Stir well
- Keep adding ghee (clarified butter) in between
- Stir continuously till it separates the pan
- Heat ghee (clarified butter) in another pan
- Add the cashews and raisins
- Add the roasted cashews and raisins to the rava Kesari

Tips:
- You can add a cup of milk instead of a cup of water to enrich the taste
- Food colour is optional, you can do this without the colour too
