Hi friends,
Kondakadalai / Kabuli Chana Sundal is the most common Prasadam / neivedyam made for Ayudha pooja. It is a healthy evening snack.
INGREDIENTS:
- Kabuli Chana / kondakadalai - 1/2 cup
- Mustard seeds- 1tsp
- Cumin seeds- 1tsp
- Split urad Dal - 1tsp
- Asafoetida-1tsp
- Garlic- 3cloves; finely chopped
- Ginger-1" piece; finely chopped
- Red chillies- 2 nos
- Grated coconut- 2tbsp
- Curry leaves- a handful
- Salt- to taste
- Gingelly oil - 3tsp
METHOD:
- Soak Kabuli Chana / kondakadalai in water for 6 hours
- Pressure cooker the dal for 1 whistle followed by 5 minutes in low flame
- Heat oil in a pan
- Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, split urad dal, asafoetida and red chillies
- Add the chopped garlic and ginger
- Add the grated coconut
- Saute well
- Add the curry leaves
- Add the cooked Chana
- Add Salt
- Mix well
- Serve
